SME Conference holds tomorrow

The maiden edition of the Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SME) Conference & Expo holds tomorrow, November, 16, 2017 at Renaissance Hotel GRA, Lagos.

The conference themed “Unlocking Business Growth through Branding” will attract speakers from the marketing communication industry.

Lanre Adisa, CEO, Noah’s Ark, Steve Babaeko, CEO, X3M Ideas, Cherry Eromosele, Chief Marketing Officer, Interswitch Group and Chizor Malize, Managing Partner/CEO Brandzone Consulting LLC and others will offer insights on how small scale enterprises can explore the opportunities in branding to make their businesses more attractive to a wider audience, in the competitive marketplace.

Other speakers that have signed up for the conference are; Mr. Rufai Ladipo, Managing Director, Agile Communications, Oke Maduewesi, CEO, Zaron Cosmetics, Tope Jemerigbe, CEO, DKK, Mrs. Bolajoko Bayo-Ajayi, Managing Director, Purple Pearl Consulting, and a host of others.

According to the Managing Director of Purple Pearl Consulting and organizers of the event, Mrs. Bayo-Ajayi, the event will expose SMEs operators to the important role of brand building which will help them to grow their brands in the market place. She noted that one of the challenges facing most SMEs is the low appreciation for brand building, adding that it often leads to poor product positioning and proposition.

Also speaking about the benefits of the conference, one of the speakers, Mr. Rufai Ladipo said that the conference is being organized to enable SMEs build their brand names which in turn will help them achieve value and equity.

“The importance of building a brand name to achieve value and equity is so crucial in the ever-expanding competitive SME market; it is on this premise that we believe that looking at brand building beyond just a logo, SMEs’ can fully exploit their position as the engine of growth for the Nigerian economy”, he said.
