It was an evening of smiles, laughter and inspiration as female staff from across the Glo family converged on the Alliance Française, Mike Adenuga Centre, Lagos, for the 2025 edition of the SheGlows Summit on Friday.
With the theme “Wellness for Growth,” this year’s summit was organised by Globacom to celebrate the resilience and brilliance of its female employees, inspiring them to embrace personal well-being, achieve work–life balance and attain professional fulfilment.
The initiative reflects the company’s enduring commitment to empowering women and fostering environments where they can flourish with confidence and purpose.
Three distinguished keynote speakers graced the stage, delivering thought-provoking sessions centred on wellness, strength and self-development.
Dr Olubunmi Aboderin-Talabi, Non-Executive Director at Punch Nigeria Limited, spoke on “The Ten Stages of Wellness,” urging women to recognise the different phases of their lives, prioritise what truly matters and create time for rest. Quoting Joyce Meyer, she reminded the audience that, “You can be pitiful or powerful, but you can’t be both.”

Bunmi George, Founder of Shredder Gang, led an engaging discussion on “Willpower and Tenacity,” sharing practical insights on maintaining balance amidst the demands of work and life. She underscored the value of moderation, discipline and healthy living, adding that, “Your muscles are your longevity organ.”
Rounding off the keynotes, Ifeoma Williams, Global Image Consultant and Executive Presence Coach, delivered a compelling presentation on “Commanding the Room: Building Executive Presence and Influence for Career Growth.” She highlighted the importance of authenticity, poise and purpose, remarking that, “People may forget how you look, but they’ll never forget how you make them feel.” Williams concluded with a memorable line that resonated deeply with the audience: “Only when a woman truly glows does she grow.”
A lively panel session followed, providing an opportunity for Glo women to ask questions, share reflections and engage openly with the speakers. Those unable to attend physically participated virtually via a dedicated video link, ensuring that the SheGlows spirit extended beyond Lagos.
Attendees described the experience as both inspiring and transformative. “The event was beyond my expectations,” said Ifeyinwa Okoli, Team Lead, Customer Care. “Each speaker delivered her message beautifully, and I’ve taken so much home.”
Similarly, Esther Ohiomoba from Enterprise Business added, “It touched my core. My biggest takeaway is to let my brilliance serve, not intimidate. I’d love to do this again and again.”
More than just an event, the SheGlows Summit 2025 was a celebration of women’s strength, self-worth and purpose. Globacom continues to champion initiatives that remind women everywhere that when they glow, they truly grow.
