Peak Milk Reteirates Support for Children

……….Showers gifts on them on Children’s Day

In further demonstration of its bonding with the children and family, Peak Milk, a premium brand from the stable of Friesland Campina Wamco weekend celebrated with the Children as it showered them with lots of gift items during the May 27th Children’s Day Celebrations.

The event which took place at the Blue Roof of the Lagos state Television complex witnessed huge turnout as families from different parts of the states including Ogun environs trooped out in large numbers to celebrate with their children. The children who were dressed in different attires were full of excitement as many were seen running around to catch their fun.

DSC_0088Speaking with Daily Independent on the significance of the day, a parent, Mrs. Ibrahim Hajara said she was quite elated to celebrate the day with the children. According to Hajara, her busy schedule at work in the last three years had prevented her in relating with the children hence the need to utilise this opportunity.

She said” I have been found wanting especially in spending quality time with the children. At least, today has made me appreciate the need to understand them better. I am highly excited to be here with them. We have really had fun today and they are happy that both of us are here with them.

Another parent who could not contain his joy while savouring all the good moments with the kids, Mr. Adebayo Abimbola explained that children are the future leaders and as such requires adequate attention and necessary grooming. Abimbola stated that occasions like this presents itself as a good time to bond with them stressing that values and other ingredients of development had been lacking in them because parents do not spend enough time with their kids.

Some of the children however commended the management of Peak milk for its kind support in making the gathering a memorable one.DSC_0058

One of them, Michael Daniel who is dreaming to become a medical doctor in the nearest future pointed out that the dairy company has done well enough to celebrate them especially with the donation of books and presentation of milk products to everyone who turned out to witness the event. Many of the kids who thronged the Peak milk Stand applauded the company on their effort to provide rich nutrients to the children.

No fewer than 30 educational institutions were in attendance at the children’s day event. The highlight of the events saw students from various schools engaged in different cultural and sporting activities some of which include choreography, dancing competition, and callisthenics display. At the gathering, families were seen enjoying every bit of the fun with some of them involved in sporting activities with the kids
