Children across Lagos were treated to a memorable Children’s Day experience as CWAY Group, in a maiden edition of CWAY Funville, hosted the 2026 edition of its Children’s Day celebration at the JJT Park & Ndubuisi Park, respectively.

The colourful event sponsored through its brands Super Kids, Jelly Fun and Nutri-Yo, brought together children and parents for a day filled with games, dancing, entertainment, food, gifts and other exciting activities designed to create memorable experiences for families.

Speaking during the event, Group Head of Marketing, Samuel Akinrimisi, said CWAY Group remains committed to nurturing children and building long-term relationships with families and communities across Nigeria.

He described children as the future leaders of society and noted that investing in them aligns with the company’s sustainability vision.

“We believe so much in sustenance and for a business that believes in sustenance, you have to nurture children from a young age. We want our brands to resonate with them not just today, but even into adulthood,” he said.

Akinrimisi further explained that CWAY Group family-focused initiatives go beyond urban centres, as the company continues to extend engagement activities to rural communities across different states.

“We do not stop at urban locations. We always go to rural locations because we want children everywhere to experience what our brands can offer,” he stated.

Brand and Marketing Manager for Super Kids, Chinemerem Festus Uzochukwu, said the initiative reflects the brand’s commitment to children’s growth, development and wellbeing.

According to him, the event was organised to give children an opportunity to relax, have fun and feel special.

“Super Kids is at the forefront and centre of all things child-centric, which is why we invited kids here today to unwind, give them a great experience and make them feel spoiled,” he said.

Uzochukwu also highlighted the nutritional value of the product, noting that Super Kids contains DHA, which supports brain development in children.

“Everything that we do is around the smartness of kids. That brings us to our tagline, ‘Smart Drink for Smart Kids’. We are committed to ensuring that kids are smart, clever and their brains develop properly,” he added.

Also speaking, Head of Business Centre Marketing, Ayobami Awowoyin, emphasised the collective responsibility of organisations, parents and communities in supporting children’s development.

According to her, CWAY Funville was designed to create meaningful experiences that inspire learning, friendship and family bonding.

“In our collective responsibility to protect, nurture, educate and empower every child, we recognise that when children thrive, communities prosper and nations grow stronger. CWAY Funville Children’s Day event is our way of creating memorable experiences that encourage friendship, learning, healthy family time, creativity and fun,” she said.

“Through the exciting games, dance competitions, educational activities and entertainment lined up, we hope to put smiles on faces and create memories that will last a lifetime,” Awowoyin added.

Parents and children at the event also shared their excitement about the experience.

A parent, Mrs. Kemi Adeyemi, described the event as a thoughtful initiative that allowed families to bond while celebrating children.

“This is one of the best Children’s Day celebrations my family has attended. The children had so much fun, and as parents, we were able to relax and enjoy quality time together. CWAY deserves commendation for creating such an atmosphere,” she said.

Nine-year-old David Okonkwo said he particularly enjoyed the games and dance sessions.

“I made new friends today, won prizes and had a lot of fun dancing. I want to come again next year,” he said excitedly.

Similarly, eight-year-old Zainab Bello expressed delight over the gifts and activities provided during the celebration.

“My favourite part was the games and the gifts. Everything was fun and I am very happy to be here,” she said.

The 2026 CWAY Funville celebration featured games, music performances, dancing sessions, food, gift presentations and interactive activities, leaving children with memorable experiences as they marked this year’s Children’s Day celebration.
