NIMN President promises more growth, inclusivity in 2023

Ahead of 2023, the President of the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria NIMN, Mr. Idorenyen Enang has pledged commitment to consolidate on successes recorded by delivering valuable leadership to the institute by fostering more inclusivity and growth in the new year.

Speaking exclusively to MARKETING EDGE, the President and Chairman of Council, disclosed that over the last one year, the Institute has recorded landmark achievements, the recent being the ratification of the Amended NIMN Act and the review of the NIMN curriculum in line with current realities.

He assured that the first quarter of 2023 will witness a dynamic shift for members of the Institute as necessary machinery has been put in place to pivot the expected changes that will improve the operations of the body and the marketing profession in Nigeria.

His words: “Within the next 5 to 6 months, we will build on all the tracks that we have put together and bring them to life especially the foundational issues. We have been able to close on the curriculum. I look forward to having an Institute that is more vibrant as we begin to do the things we need to do.

“I am happy the long awaited curriculum of the institute had been carefully and painstakingly crafted by a Committee of very dedicated members and approved by Council” he added.

The NIMN boss stressed that in the coming year, financially inactive members will not be able to participate in activities of the institute as membership management will be done electronically with critical information only accessible to committed members.

He urged members to support the efforts being made to reposition the Institute and revitalise the marketing profession in Nigeria.

“I need members to be very disciplined snd to pay their dues because that is where we are going to get the  resources we need. We are calling on every member, as we open for 2023, make it a point of duty to pay your annual dues”, he said.
