Monarch Lauds Euro Global on Job Creation

His Royal Majesty, Oba (Prof) Adeyemi Abdukabir Obalanlege The Olota of Ota kingdom has lauded the contributions of Euro Global Foods and Distilleries Limited for creating jobs for the teeming youths of Awori Kingdom as well as boosting the local economy of the host community.

The Monarch who made this disclosure during a courtesy visitation to the company’s corporate head office in Sango-Otta, Ogun state also used the occasion to do the facility tour of the distillery giant.

He stated that he was delighted to see a company such as Euro Global Foods and Distilleries Limited operating within his kingdom, stressing that the company does not only have the capacity to locally source for its raw materials but also capable of exporting such products in line with international standards.

In his words: “I am delighted that this is existing in this town, ordinarily walking around, you wouldn’t know that we have a fully automated factory like this with international standard that is producing products that are being exported to other countries right here and they are sourcing their raw materials locally which has helped in boosting the economic growth and activities not only for the farmers but also for the indigenes of this community”.

“This is the kind of factories that we are ready to support in this country and then being the Olota of Ota, I am assuring the Euro Global Group that I am always ready to assist them at all times. I also want to thank them for employing our youths and my prayer is that they should grow more so that they can employ more of our youths”

Obalanlege further congratulated the company for producing Seaking Schnapps, its flagship brand, pointing out that it is one of the best brands of Schnapps consumed by indigenes of the community.

He said: “People have presented Seaking Schnapps to me as a gift during my coronation but I never knew it is being produced right here, so coming here today and I saw it, I am happy that it is being made here and I must thank the Euro Global Foods and Distilleries Limited for doing that.”

While expressing his gratitude to the king, Chairman Sona Group of Industries, Mr. Arjan Mirchandani, said that Euro Global Foods and Distilleries Limited is ready to do more for the community.

Mirchandani pointed out that currently, the company has about 4,000 employees and it is hoping to employ additional 2,000 more to boosts it workforce.

He added that the company will not only contribute to the economic growth of Awori kingdom but will also ensure that it impacts the lives of the people through its Corporate Social Responsibly (CSR) programmes.

According to him, the company would continue in its CSR project by ensuring that more boreholes are dug so that the community members could have clean portable water, emphasizing that plans are on top gear to establish a hospital in the community so that Awori indigenes can have free medical care at all times.

The high points of the Oba’s visit was the pouring of libation by High Chief Isiaka Idowu Balogun, “The Balogun of Ota Kingdom”.

The event which attracted top dignitaries and high chiefs of Awori land in the entourage of the monarch also witnessed the display of an array of Euro Global Foods and Distilleries’ brands as well as a tour of the company’s facilities.

Some of the brands on display include: Czar Ice, Power Bitter, Sona Bitter, Seaking Schnapps, Brave Heart, Sabrina, Amphora, Golden Choco, Sona Pineapple drink, Savana Orange drink, Maltonic amongst others.
