Meet MARKETING EDGE facilitator at Fireside Conversation – Taiwo Obe

Taiwo Obe is a Commonwealth Professional Fellow. The communications expert and administrator had his tertiary education, in Enugu State, where he studied at the Institute of Management and Technology before joining the Alfred Friendly Fellowship in the United States.

His tenure as a member of the Fourth Estate of the Realm began as an intern on the Evening Times in 1980. By 1983, he was founding sub-editor of The Guardian Sunday Supplement. He was, nevertheless, Editor/Associate Editor/Deputy Editor/Managing Editor at ThisWeek from 1986 until 1989. Obe established himself as a force to be reckoned with when he joined Newsweek International as a correspondent in 1988.

T.O., as he is known, is also the CEO of Taijo Wonukabe Limited, which he created in 1995. He was also the Nigerian Union of Journalists’ Executive Vice-Chairman and the Institute of Public Relations’ Executive Vice-Chairman. The Journalism Clinic’s Founder/Director is an Oyo State native.
