MARKETING EDGE on TV hosts Badejo-Okusanya today

MARKETING EDGE on TV, the leading advertising and brand-centric television programme will be hosting the Group Managing Director of CMC CONNECT LLP, Mr. Yomi Badejo-Okusanya today on TVC News and WAP TV at 12:30pm and 8pm respectively, with a repeat broadcast tomorrow on WAP TV at 9:30am.

The program which has three segments namely brands news; brand in focus and industry conversation comprises industry gist, developments, and insightful conversations aim to expand the frontiers of the marketing and advertising business in Nigeria and around the world.

In this interview, the seasoned PR professional who honed his skills through over three decades of experience, will be continuing the conversation he started last week where he highlighted the challenges militating against the growth of Public Relations  in Nigeria.

In this interview, Mr. Badejo-Okusanya will deepen his thoughts on areas of growth and opportunities for PR professionals in response to the myriads of challenges in the country.

As the President of the African Public Relations Association (APRA), the highly cerebral professional will speak on regulations as well as modalities to stem the tides of quackery in the industry.

Yomi Badejo-Okusanya is the Group Managing Director, CMC Connect LLP. YBO, as he is popularly called, is a renowned veteran in the Marketing Communications industry with over 30 years to his credit. He started his career in 1988 with CT & A, a Lagos based advertising agency and rose to become Director in 1991. He later founded CMC Connect Limited in 1992.

He is widely known to be one of the premier public relations practitioners in Nigeria with experience in the areas of Government Relations & Legislative Affairs, Perception Management, Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations & Crisis Communications.

He has handled Corporate Communication activities, Issues, Advocacy & Crisis briefs, Government and Legislative Relations, and Public Affairs Management for high profile clients, including the JAGAL Group, Airtel Nigeria, International Monetary Funds (IMF), British American Tobacco Nigeria, Transcorp, Renaissance Group, Federal Inland Revenue Service, Peugeot Nigeria Ltd, Shell, Virgin Nigeria.

He is a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) and was a past Chairman of NIPR, Lagos State Chapter.  He is the current President of African Public Relations Association (APRA) and he is on the board of the International Public Relations Association (IPRA) and several other blue-chip companies in Nigeria. He is also the President of African Public Relations Association (APRA).
