MARKETING EDGE holds virtual summit on Advertising Industry reform

Agenda-setting Publication, MARKETING EDGE is geared up for another industry stirring edition of its inaugural quarterly virtual summit slated to hold virtually on Zoom this Thursday 16th December 2021 between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm.

Leading this ground-shaking edition of the Summit themed “Nigerian Advertising Industry Reform, To Be or Not to Be?” is a renowned publisher and industry veteran, Simon Kolawole, Founder/CEO, Cable Newspaper, an exemplary wordsmith who has concentrated most of his thoughts and expertise on nation-building, its impediments, governance, conflict and development.

Between 2007 and 2012, Kolawole served as the Editor of one of Nigeria’s most influential newspapers, THISDAY. He currently writes a weekly column for THISDAY, and The Sunday newspaper.

Kolawole earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication from the University of Lagos, and a Master’s degree in Governance and Development from the University of Sussex, UK, as a British Chevening Scholar. He was named among Africa’s next generation of leaders by The Banker, a publication of Financial Times of London, in 2009. He was Mo Ibrahim Fellow on the Governance for Development in Africa Initiative at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, in 2010.

On the summit panelists list are; the Registrar of the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON) Dr. Lekan  Fadolapo,  Sectoral heads of the  Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria, AAAN, Steve Babaeko, Media Independent Practitioners Council of Nigeria, MIPAN, Femi Adelusi,  Experiential Marketers Association of Nigeria, EXMAN among others.
