Mandilas Group Appoints First African CEO

Mandilas Group of Companies has appointed Ola Debayo-Doherty, an African as its Group Chief Executive Officer, the first in the Group’s over 70 years history in Nigeria.

The Group, one of the longest thriving business conglomerates in the country, recently made the announcement at its corporate headquarters, Lagos Island.

Debayo-Doherty joined the Mandilas Group from Ibile Oil and Gas Corporation where she was the pioneer Managing Director/CEO. Prior to this role, she was at Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited, Shell International, United Kingdom and Arthur Anderson where she served in Finance, Management Consulting, Strategic Business Development and Project/Process Management functions at senior and management levels in and outside Nigeria.

Mandilas Group is a foremost dealer of Toyota vehicles and the sole franchisee of the Carrier home and industrial air-conditioners brand in Nigeria.

According to her LinkedIn profile, Debayo-Doherty is an experienced Oil and Gas Executive with a demonstrated experience in start-ups, Strategic Business Process Development with a strong history of working in the oil & energy industry.

She is skilled in Gas, Petroleum, Auditing, Budgeting, Accounting, and Management. She is also a Strong program and project management professional with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and BS Accounting degrees.
