LCCI declares free entry at the ongoing Lagos Intl Trade Fair

Good news for both shoppers and exhibitors as the organisers of the ongoing 37th edition of the Lagos International Trade Fair at the Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos, has extended its free entry policy. The trade fair kicked off on 3 November to last till 12 November, 2023.
The Lagos International Trade Fair has over the years been synonymous with entry tickets, but took a new turn this year as the Lagos State Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) deemed it fit to give free entry throughout the 10 days fair for every participant.
The organisers said this is part of their effort to encourage more shoppers and exhibitors while also boosting sales amid the economic downturn. LCCI said it is granting free entry as an incentive for every participant coming into the fair during this period.
This year’s edition is themed: “Navigating Economic Challenges”, which the organisers said underscores the determination of the Nigerian business community to overcome many hurdles.
The epochal event was declared opened by the first citizen of the country, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, represented by Lucia Shittu, Chief Executive Officer, Tafawa Balewa Square Management Board (TBSMB), who pledged to provide an enabling environment for Nigerian businesses to thrive.
It was also honoured with the distinguished presence of the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who was represented by Mrs. Folashade Ambrose-Medem, the Commissioner, Lagos State Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Cooperative. She expressed the state’s readiness to work with investors to expand infrastructure for the benefit of business growth.
