LASAA removes illegal structures in Lagos

In its ongoing efforts to maintain law and order, ensure a safe environment, and enforce compliance with signage regulations, the Lagos State Signage and Advertising Agency (LASAA) has dismantled illegal structures across Lagos State.
The agency’s enforcement team recently visited major areas on Lagos Island and Mainland to guarantee public spaces remain organized and visually appealing.
Locations targeted for removal included Ozumba Mbadiwe, Oniru, Awolowo Road, Adeola Odeku on Lagos Island, and the National Stadium in Surulere.
According to the post on LASSA official handle on LinkedIn, the regulator noted that illegal structures in places like Ozumba Mbadiwe, Oniru, Awolowo Road, Adeola Odeku on Lagos Island, and at the National Stadium, Surulere were removed.
The post: “Today, our Enforcement team was on ground, working diligently to remove illegal A-frame structures across major areas, including Ozumba Mbadiwe, Oniru, Awolowo Road, Adeola Odeku on Lagos Island, and at the National Stadium, Surulere.
This is to ensure our public spaces remain organized and visually appealing is a top priority, and enforcement efforts like these are essential in keeping our environment safe, accessible, and free from clutter.”

It could be recalled that at the Out-of-Home Advertising Association of Nigeria (OAAN) 39th AGM in Ibadan, Prince Fatiu Akiolu, Managing Director of LASAA, represented by Temitope Akande, Director of Strategy and Communication at LASAA, noted that:
“As the regulatory body entrusted with the oversight of outdoor advertising in Lagos State, LASAA plays a pivotal role in shaping the landscape of our industry. Our mandate is not just to regulate but to facilitate an environment where innovation thrives, businesses grow, and value is continuously created.”
He reiterated that LASAA is committed to working hand-in-hand with OAAN and all industry stakeholders to redefine the future of out-of-home media.
