Insight Publicis’ Wole Ogundare Becomes CEO at Yudala

Yudala, Nigeria’s fast growing composite e-commerce outfit, has appointed former Client Service Director at Insight Publicis, Wole Ogundare as its new Chief Executive Officer. His appointment came few days after the acquisition of Yes Mobile, a cosmopolitan high-value retail outfit.

In his new role, Ogundare is expected to spear-head the strategic growth plans and profitability of Yudala – a revolutionary composite e-commerce company, whose bold expansionary model and futuristic fusion of online and offline platforms has effectively positioned it as a potential sector leader in Nigeria.

Ogundare took over from Dave Ibelegbu, the pioneer Managing Director and renowned third world corporate start-up strategist, who has moved on to research and business development interests in other fields.

Ogundare has over 22 years working experience with leading corporate organizations in the country. Prior to his appointment, he worked with Insight Publicis – a frontline marketing and communications agency at the Account Management Division.

Before that, he worked as a partner in the Corporate Governance, Finance & Enterprise Division of Phillips Consulting Ltd.  His responsibilities were to advise on setting up board governance charters/indicators and providing financial management advisory services in areas such as business optimization, financial analysis and modeling.

Over the last sixteen years, the widely experienced Ogundare has led projects in the power, solid minerals, telecoms, financial services, health, agriculture, public sector and retail, with expertise in systems strengthening, revenue assurance, strategic planning, process reviews, monitoring and evaluation, knowledge management and corporate finance.

He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and Certified Financial Auditors, and has benefitted from several relevant trainings both within and outside the shores of the country including the London Business School, UK as well as Wits Business School and Thomas International, South Africa, among others.
