IDL CEO Patrick Anegbe appointed FBT sectoral group Chairman

Chief Patrick Anegbe, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Intercontinental Distillers Limited, has been accorded another position of honour with his recent appointment as Chairman of the Food, Beverage and Tobacco Sectoral group of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria announced.

According to the association, Anegbe holds the appointment alongside the position of the President, Association of Food, Beverage and Tobacco Employers as well as the Chairman, Blenders and Distillers Association of Nigeria, a sub-sectoral group of MAN.

According to the association, the appointment is recognition of Chief Anegbe’s many years of leadership and the role he has played in driving innovation and growth in the food and beverage segment.

The statement read in part, “Since he assumed the leadership of IDL, the company has witnessed a tremendous turnaround and grown at the fastest pace both in turnover, profitability and brand portfolio than any other period since the founding of the company.”

Chief Anegbe was Vice President, Committee of Chief Executives, COCE, of AFBTE. He started his career with Guinness Nigeria Plc, where he had a stint as an Assistant Engineer before joining IDL, where he rose through the ranks to become the Managing Director.

An astute and dogged achiever, Anegbe is a management expert, especially in the area of business turnaround, strategic corporate focus and product innovation. The new AFBTE President is a member of various organisations; Chairman, Distillers and Blenders Association of Nigeria, a sub-group of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria, MAN; past President, Lagos State University Masters in Business Administration, LASUMBA— G20.

He is an alumnus of Lagos Business School, Pan African University; IESE Business School, Barcelona, Spain; Harvard Law School, USA; University of Chicago Booth School of Business, USA; IMD Business School, Brazil, and many others.
