Hakeem Akintunde honored with APCON Fellowship

Another well deserved honor has been bestowed on vastly experienced marketing communications experts and founder/CEO of Marcom Support Services Limited, Hakeem Wale Akintunde as he joins a host of other marketing aces to be inducted as Fellow of the Advertising profession in Nigeria at the recently concluded APCON induction ceremony.

Akintunde, whose robust portfolio holds over two decades of experience in integrated marketing communications, is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), and Certified Institute of Auctioneers of Nigeria (CIAN). He also belongs to Chartered Institute of Personnel Management, Institute of Data Processing Management of Nigeria and Nigeria Institute of Management.

Akintunde kicked off his career in the marcoms industry when he joined Centrespread in 2004.
When he assumed position as the Chief Operations Officer in 2012, Wale helped revitalize the business and aided the group in repositioning its abilities, resources and talents.

He was the immediate past Honorary Treasurer of Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN) and a former member of the Board of Trustee of Association of Voice-Over Artists (AVOA). Wale has also been involved in re-engineering businesses such as Mediamore Ltd, DKK & Associates Ltd, PR Redline and Pure Activation amongst others.

Akintunde holds an MBA in Banking and Finance from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He studied International Marketing and Law of International Trade at Export-Edge Training, Dublin prior to being an Affiliate of Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK and a United-Nations-trained CISCO Certified Network Associate.
