Former APCON Chairman clocks 80
One of the founding fathers of advertising practice in Nigeria and former Chairman of the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON), Christopher Awusa Doghudje, has celebrated his 80th birthday amid pomp and pageantry.
Mr. Doghudje, a dynamic and outspoken practitioner was also the former Managing Director of Lowe Lintas, one of the biggest advertising agencies in Nigeria in the past.
While congratulating her father, Head, Marketing & Corporate Communication at United Capital Plc, Efeturi Doghudje, prayed that God would continue to bless him as he celebrates more birthdays.
She said in her LinkedIn post: “Happy Birthday BabaDee. May God bless you with happiness, contentment, peace of mind and abundance today. Have a joyful day Dad.”
Mr. Doghuje, an iconic adman was born on the 8th of July, 1939. He spent 25 active years in the advertising industry of which 20 years were spent in Lowe Lintas and the remaining five years were at OBM, the second largest advertising agency in the country then.
Mr. Doghuje was also the education secretary of the Association of Advertising Practitioners of Nigeria (AAPN), now known as Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN).
