Eyeconic Media sets Airtel Nigeria sailing for Christmas

The Out-of-Home (OOH) advertising industry is one of the fast-rising industries in Nigeria, bringing to life a mode of communication that explores the use of environmental vices to create an unmediated experience for the public. Setting a new dimension to this is Eyeconic Media Limited, a leading Out-of-Home advertising agency in Nigeria that specialises in creating out of the box OOH advertising ideas. The ambient advertising agency is breaking from the norm and redefining out-of-the-home advertising with Airtel, one of Nigeria’s leading telecommunications companies, has joined the Ambient advertising revolution from Eyeconic to launch a first of its kind floating OOH advertising. To celebrate the yuletide with style, Eyeconic Media created a sailing spectacle for Airtel on the Lagos Lagoon with the Airtel Logo on a boat, adorned with dazzling Christmas lights, through the third mainland bridge to go all the way to Falamo bridge in Lagos, Nigeria.

The campaign is expected to last throughout the Christmas season. It proves not just a glam project but a visual representation that aims to reflect the extent of service coverage Airtel offers to its customers. Tayo Osikoya, the managing director of Eyeconic Media, remarked that “the objective of the boat on the water is for Airtel Nigeria to kick off the yuletide celebration in style and show its coverage even in the most unusual places. The idea was to do something with a wow effect that can interact with the daily lives of road users and a diversion from traditional billboards. Eyeconic Media was able to manage the project from conception to deployment”.

Since its emergence, Eyeconic Media has set a trend of dynamic experiential adverts for organisations coined from cutting-edge ideas to connect them to their target audience in an era of information overload. The organisation has proven to be one of Nigeria’s foremost OOH advertising companies. Its methods are innovative, targeting the ever-evolving Nigerian with the need to foster a connection between brands and their customers, at unique touch points like supermarkets, malls, and transit stations across Nigeria. It is no doubt that Eyeconic Media is setting a different stance in the OOH advertising industry.
