Yes, the trophies may have commanded the spotlight, but long before the first winner stepped forward, the brands had already transformed the room.
Memorably, at the just concluded 2026 MARKETING EDGE EDGE Awards, held on Friday, September 25, at Ten Degrees Event Hall, Billingsway Road, Oregun, Ikeja, the venue took on a character of its own as diverse brands from across Nigeria’s FMCG landscape brought their colours, identities, products and creative expressions into the celebration.
Indeed, the result was an awards night that could be seen, experienced and remembered through more than the trophies presented on stage. Undeniably, from the entrance into the hall to the tables, exhibition spaces and branded installations, the presence of the participating brands added layers of colour and personality to the venue.
In essence, familiar names appeared in different forms, creating a visual landscape that reflected the wide range of products competing for attention in Nigeria’s consumer market.
Truly, it was a gathering of brands cutting across food, dairy, beverages, confectionery, household products, packaged water, personal care and other FMCG categories.

BUA Foods, Peak Yoghurt, CWAY, Chivita, Morning Fresh, Pepsi, Aquafina, 7UP Bottling Company, Hollandia, Peak Milk, Rite Foods, Perfetti Van Melle, PZ Cussons, Munch It, Minimie, Indomie, Three Crowns, Golden Penny Foods and other participating brands brought different identities into the same space, creating a colourful expression of the diversity within Nigeria’s consumer economy.
Beautifully, the branded booths stood like little royal castles within the venue, each carefully dressed to capture the beauty, character and prestige of the brand it represented.
Brightly, their striking structures, rich colours and thoughtful displays gave the exhibition spaces a regal appeal, turning ordinary booths into inviting brand destinations where guests could pause, explore, take photographs and experience the personality of each brand up close.
eNo doubt, ach brand contributed something distinctive to the atmosphere. Some brought the colour associated with their corporate identity, others created product displays that naturally drew attention, while several turned their allocated spaces into extensions of their brand personalities.

So, instead of allowing the venue to remain a conventional event hall, the brands helped transform it into a vibrant showcase where commercial identity and celebration existed side by side.
Of particular note, one of the most striking examples was the House of Golden Penny. Its green and gold presentation immediately gave the space a strong visual identity, while the display brought together different products within the Golden Penny portfolio.
Moreover, the activation did more than place a logo in front of guests; it created a recognisable branded environment that invited attention and became part of the visual story of the evening.
The brand’s message, “Serving Happiness, Nourishing Families, Everyday,” also found a natural setting within the celebration, where families, consumers and everyday Nigerian experiences were reflected through a broad gathering of familiar consumer brands.
CWAY added another distinct layer with its own product showcase. The display featured Nutri Milk, Nutri Choco, Nutri Fresh, Super Kids, Assam, Cappuccino and Peach, allowing guests to encounter different products within the portfolio in one branded space.
Alongside this, the arrangement added another burst of colour to the venue while demonstrating how product variety can itself become part of an experiential brand presentation.

Across the hall, the same principle played out in different ways. In addition, Peak brought its familiar dairy identity into the environment, Chivita added its own colourful presence, Morning Fresh contributed a household category to the mix, while brands such as Munch It, Minimie and Indomie brought the visual language of popular food and snack products into the celebration. Hollandia, Three Crowns and other dairy brands further widened the range of consumer categories represented.
At the same time, the beverage category also added its own visual energy, with brands such as Pepsi, Aquafina, Red Bull and other participating beverage companies contributing to the colourful mix.
Equally important, other sponsors and partners from the wider consumer and business ecosystem, including LASHMA, Stanbic IBTC and AIM Consultings, also added different dimensions to the brand environment.
Beyond the displays, the brands became part of the guests’ own experience of the night. Mobile phones were constantly raised around branded spaces as attendees stopped for photographs, recorded videos and created content against the colourful installations.
Following this development, a branded backdrop became a photograph, while product display became a conversation point. Altogether, a carefully arranged activation became another memory of the evening.
Subsequently, that interaction gave the brands a presence that went beyond simply being seen. They became part of what guests experienced at the event and, through photographs and social media content, part of the stories attendees carried beyond the walls of Ten Degrees.
The effect was particularly noticeable because the brands represented such different segments of the FMCG sector. Food brands stood alongside dairy brands. Household products shared the space with beverages and confectionery. Packaged water, personal care products and other consumer categories added their own visual identities. Each brand arrived with its own colours and character, yet together they created a unified atmosphere around the celebration.
This diversity gave the EDGE Awards a commercial vibrancy that could not have been achieved through stage presentations alone. The brands effectively became part of the décor, the conversations and the movement around the venue, as their physical presence gave guests something to encounter between award presentations, networking moments and photographs.
For MARKETING EDGE, this dimension of the EDGE Awards reinforces the importance of creating a platform where brands can move beyond conventional visibility and establish a physical connection with their audiences.
No doubt, the exhibition and activation spaces allowed participating brands to communicate through colour, presentation and experience, while the event itself provided an environment in which those brand identities could live alongside a celebration of excellence.
In the same vein, the significance of the participating brands therefore went beyond sponsorship. Their presence helped shape the atmosphere of the evening. They gave the venue colour. They created points of attraction. They provided familiar products and identities within an unfamiliar event environment. Most importantly, they helped make the celebration feel alive.
As the awards progressed and the lights, cameras and applause moved from one moment to another, the branded spaces remained part of the scene. Guests continued to move around them, photographs continued to capture them and conversations continued to happen around them.
By the end of the evening, the 2026 EDGE Awards had become more than a room filled with trophies and distinguished guests. It had become a colourful meeting point for brands from different segments of Nigeria’s FMCG sector, each bringing a piece of its identity into a shared celebration.
Remarkably, the awards recognised excellence on stage, but the brands gave the venue its visual rhythm. Through their colours, displays, products and creative presence, they turned Ten Degrees into a living exhibition of Nigeria’s consumer marketplace and added a distinctive flavour to a night dedicated to celebrating excellence beyond borders.
