DStv Seminar of Creativity hosts Jimmy Smith, others at 2016 Loeries

The 2016 Loeries Creative Week is set to host the renowned Advertising icon Mr. Jimmy Smith as one of the Jury Presidents at the DStv Seminar of Creativity during the 2016 Loeries festival in Durban, South Africa from the 15th to 21st, August 2016.

Other members of the panel serving as Jury Presidents are; Laura Jordan-Bambach, a digital icon and Creative Director of London based creative agency, Mr. President, Susan Credle, the Global Chief Creative officer of FCB and Bridget Jung, seasoned Creative Director with more than 20 years’ experience in the industry.

This year’s Loeries is geared towards engaging and stimulating experience for marketing communications practitioners across the globe in a week long program on their views on the values of creativity across Africa and the Middle.

While responding to his appointment, Mr. Smith who also doubles as the CEO of Amusement Park Entertainment said, “I’m actually speechless. Words can’t describe how excited I am to be a Jury President of the Loeries and speak at the DStv Seminar of Creativity.”

Also, Laura Jordan-Bambach who has over 20 years experience in experimental approach to brand communications with numerous awards pointed out that she was thrilled by the nomination.

According to her “I’m incredibly thrilled to be Jury President this year at one of the most electric awards shows on the global calendar. The Loeries is an opportunity for the world to celebrate work that
defies the conventions set in other regions and that speaks with its own distinct voices. I’m honoured to be part of this amazing festival of creativity,”

Meanwhile, Mrs. Susan Credle, the Global Chief Creative Officer of FCB named as one of Advertising Age’s 100 Most Influential Women in Advertising as well as one of Business Insider’s Most Creative People in Advertising amongst others would lead at this year’s jury panel in the TV/Radio category.

Also on the Jury is Mrs. Bridget Jung, a seasoned Creative Director who is currently the Chief Creative Officer at DigitasLBi Paris when DigitasLBi was named Digital Agency of the Year in 2013.

She has won more than 21 international creative awards in the same year and she founded Jungle, a creative consultancy in Sydney when she returned to her base in Australia.
