Dr. Oriavwote declares for NIMN Council Membership

Dr. Peter Oriavwote, the CEO of Salus Trust Limited, has declared his intention to vie for the Council Membership of the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN) in the forthcoming NIMN elections scheduled to hold later in the month.

Oriavwote, who is a Fellow of the Institute of Management, said his decision to run for Council membership is to add value, innovation and great leadership to the wonderful work that the current leadership and members of Council have performed over the past four years.

In his words: “Having been very active in the corporate world for three decades, I offer myself as a Council Member of our great Institute, NIMN, to add value to the wonderful work that the current leadership and members of council have performed over the past four years.”

Oriavwote, a highly cerebral marketer, has served the Institute for five years, since 2016 to 2021 holding different posts. He has over 65 scholarly works presented at seminars and conferences or published in renowned journals, including two books on marketing and management.

While speaking about his qualification, Dr. Oriavwote said: “Aside my academic qualification which includes but not limited to Doctor of Philosophy degree in Marketing Management and M.B.A in marketing, I am a fellow of four institutes viz: National institute of Nigeria, Nigerian institute of Management, Institute of Healthcare Finance and management and Institute of management Consultants Nigeria.”

He added: “Training and education is a continuous process, I have attended and actively participated in hundreds of seminars and conferences over the past thirty-five years including the Lagos Business School.”

Having studied in United States and performed numerous marketing management functions in Nigeria for the past 35years, Oriavwote who is he currently the Managing director, CEO at Salus Trust Limited, a national health maintenance organization, pledges to avail the institute this experience and set strategic goals for revenue generation.

His words: “I come on board with a lot of management and corporate governance experience. I have also been active in Sales/Marketing activities in Nigeria and Marketing Profession/Institute since 1990. I promise to use my Council membership position to help in setting strategic goals for revenue generation through planned training programmes and membership growth.”
