Digital marketing professionals in the season of upward movement

Year 2022 seems to be a year of hierarchical transition and change of mantle for Integrated Marketing Communications industry and it looks like the digital marketing professionals do not want to be left out in the upward movement. This is demonstrated with the appointments of Muyiwa Aleshinloye as Head of Marketing at Wakanow, a full-service, online travel concierge, and Ose Osundeko as the Chief Operation Officer (COO) at Digitas Nigeria, a global marketing and technology agency.

Muyiwa Aleshinloye is a marketing professional with over a decade of multi-industry experience, with core competencies in Business Strategy, Digital Marketing and Brand Management.

He was formerly the Group Head, Digital at Insight Redefini. He was responsible for the growth of the digital business for Insight Publicis, Starcom Media Perspectives, Leo Burnett and All Seasons Zenith. He had worked on some of the world’s biggest brands like Mondelez, Pepsi, VISA, and Samsung, 9Mobile, British Council, BAT, Dulux and Nigerian Breweries, connecting with their consumers and driving business growth.

Muyiwa is a proponent of digital marketing who serves on the Board of DigiClan Africa, the largest community of digital marketing professionals in Africa.

Ose Osundeko, who has been appointed as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Digitas Nigeria, will be responsible for the overall strategic direction and operations of the organisation, including building a close -knit team, partnering with clients to achieve their marketing objectives, and capitalising on opportunities for expansion into new markets.

Ose was the Group Head, Digital Marketing at Fidelity Bank Plc. where she was charged with the responsibility of materialising the value of all its Digital Marketing activities and helping grow the bank’s digital influence.

Prior to that, she was Head, Digital at Starcom Media Perspectives where she managed digital budgets for the world’s largest brands, including Mondelez International (Cadbury), Visa Card & Samsung. She also developed and executed integrated digital strategies and managed a highly strategic and commercial digital team.

At Wild Fusion Digital Centre, Ose was responsible for project managing the first Digital Marketing training centre in Nigeria into existence, deepening the quality and range of the training programmes and materialising its aim to build the digital space in Nigeria.

She is a proud supporter of the non-profit sector having worked as a Client Account Manager for Listen Fundraising UK raising funds for various charitable organisations valued at tens of thousands to millions of pounds leveraging integrated marketing channels. She is committed to professionalizing the non-profit sector in Nigeria and is currently a mentor on MentorMe4Success, a virtual platform that empowers undergraduates to develop digital and 21st-century relevant practical skills that generate income.

She is passionate about leveraging technology and integrated channel attribution solutions in unconventional ways to accelerate improvement in customer experience and marketing efficiency.
