Clement Omemu resigns from Black Sea

Clement Omemu, Managing Director/Chief Creative Officer of Black Sea Media has stepped down from his post less than two years after he took the job. His resignation came as a shock to many industry observers who mistakenly assumed the agency was set up by the popular adman.

Within his short stay in the fledging agency, Omemu, a former Acting MD of Rosabel Advertising Limited, was able to bring some level of dynamism and growth.

As an advocate of creative disruption, Omemu introduced innovation and the kind of fresh thinking that energized ideation process at Black Sea Advertising and helped the agency win multiple accounts in the private and public sectors.

His impact in the industry has won him national and international acclaim and also landed him a major appointment as a jury member at Leories, one of the major creativity festivals in Africa. He was also the President of the Lagos Advertising Ideas Festival Jury panel.

In his more than two decades practice in advertising, Omemu has worked on various brands such as Cadbury’s Bournvita, Cadbury’s TOM TOM, United Bank for Africa, Access Bank, Lafarge, Coca Cola Corporate, Gold Circle Condom, Samsung, Globacom, VMobile, Dano Milk, Derica Tomato Paste, Dark Sailor Rum, Seaman’s Aromatic Schanapps, Lord’s Dry Gin, Aways Sanitary Pad, Bonux Detergent, Nandos, Fan Ice, Supreme Ice cream, Tasty Tom Tomato Paste, Cherie Noodles, Bacchus tonic wine, Bacchus lite, just to mention a few.
