Air Peace begins international flights to Asia, North America

Air Peace has been approved by Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari to undertake International direct flights to three Asian cities, one African city and one North American city. This disclosure was made by the Chief Executive Officer of the airline, Allen Onyema, at the Enugu Investment Summit held in Enugu between April 12th and 14th.

The cities are Dubai, Mumbai, Guangzhou, Johannesburg and Atlanta.

The airline also announced that the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu, will be its hub airport with all direct flight and maintenance taking place in Enugu.

Cargo flights operations are expected to commence immediately while flights to China will begin in the coming weeks.

The commencement of direct international flights from the airport by Air Peace is considered as a massive boost to the socio-economic status of the South-Eastern part of Nigeria.

Before now, Air Peace operated domestic flights to seven Nigerian cities – Abuja, Calabar, Enugu, Kebbi, Lagos, Owerri and Port-Harcourt.
International flight operations began at the Enugu airport in August 2013 with the Ethiopian airline operating the only flight from the airport.
