ADVAN set to host 2016 Marketers' Conference in Lagos

The Advertisers’ Association of Nigeria (ADVAN) is set to hold its first Marketers Conference on Friday, May 13th at the Lagos Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja with the theme ‘Connecting Brand Builders’.

The day will feature keynote addresses as well as panelists discussions on priority information and insights, topics amongst others will be ‘Consumer Confidence Trends’, ‘Consumer Engagement’ as well as Highlights from the ‘World Federation of Advertisers’ Global Marketers Conference’ which took place in Malaysia recently.

Speakers at the event are made up of the most astute professionals from the various units within the marketing communications value chain including Mr. Lampe Omoyele (MD The Nielsen Company), Mrs. Juliet Ehimuan Chiazor (Country Manager Google Nigeria), Mrs. Joan Ihekwaba (GM Marketing UAC Foods Nigeria) and Mr. Kola Oyeyemi (GM Business Development Sales and Distribution Division MTN Nigeria).

Others are Mr. Kachi Onubogu (Commercial Director Promasidor Ltd), Dr. Ken Onyeali Ikpe (MD/CEO at Mediacom Nigeria), Mr. Richard Iwenoge (GM Consumer Marketing MTN Nigeria), Mr. Tony Agenmonmen (Vice President NIMN) and Mr. Obinna Anyalebechi (Consumer Marketing Guinness Nigeria Plc).

The conference will be moderated by Mr. Chidi Okoro (Managing Director, UAC Foods Limited), Mr. Sampson Oloche (Head CMI and Media, Nigerian Breweries Plc) and Mrs. Ugo Geri-Robert (Managing Director, Millwald Brown Nigeria).

President of ADVAN, Mr. David Okeme, revealed at the ADVAN secretariat in Ikeja, that the event will host over 150 top marketing professionals. He also said that ADVAN will be initiating various data compilation researches, with the support of other relevant bodies, to empower the industry with accurate and relevant information for the planning and implementation of its marketing activities.

“We have already received commitment in the form of support from reputable research firms towards the actualization of this project,” Okeme said.
