Chi Limited hires Toluwalase Bakare as Communications Manager

Chi Limited, a member of the Coca-Cola Company and one of Nigeria’s leading manufacturers of fruit juices, value-added dairy, and snacks, has hired Toluwalase Bakare as Communications Manager.

Bakare, a marketing and communications professional, in his new role will spearhead the corporate communications efforts at the company, develop new communication channels to boost staff engagement and productivity among other related responsibilities.

With about a decade’s experience spanning Public Relations, brand management, media relations, crisis management, stakeholder engagement, product launches, events planning and management, CSR, and digital marketing, Bakare is expected to bring his wealth of experience to bear on the new offer.

Known to have conceptualised, developed and executed successful marketing communication campaigns that meet the business objectives of both consumer brands and corporate organisations.

Before the newest offer, Bakare was a Communications Manager at Tranter IT where he was responsible for building Tranter IT brand, increasing brand awareness, and leveraging opportunities for the corporate brand.

His career journey started at R&B Public Relations as Senior Account Executive where he delivered strategic PR advisory to diverse clients, including Orijin, Mr Dowell’s No. 1 Whisky, Smirnoff X1, Gordon’s Moringa Dry Gin, Black & White Whisky, Coca-Cola, Atlantic Hall School, and World Class Cocktail Week.

At J3 Holdings, Bakare served as Head of Corporate Communications & Digital Marketing responsible for promoting the corporate image of the group as well as the products and services of its subsidiaries (Crovation Limited, Roadshow Logistics Limited, Milli Asset Investment Limited and Ayoka Farms Limited) to the public.

He also served at Stephanie John & Associates as Senior Public Relation Manager with the responsibility of building strong client relationships, developing account management strategies, coordinating with internal teams to deliver solutions that meet clients’ needs, and identifying opportunities to grow accounts.

He holds an MBA in Sustainability Studies from Nexford University as well as Master in Strategic Communications and Marketing Communications from Ahmadu Bello University.
