WPP Media has secured a global media mandate from DoorDash, becoming the company’s first global media partner across its three delivery brands, DoorDash, Deliveroo and Wolt, in a move that brings their media operations together across more than 40 markets.

The appointment, revealed by WPP Media on its website, expands an eight year partnership that has previously covered DoorDash’s media business in the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

Following a competitive review of its agency relationships, DoorDash selected WPP Media to extend the partnership globally, citing the agency’s data and technology capabilities, measurement expertise, understanding of complex markets and experience supporting business growth.

Under the expanded arrangement, WPP Media will work alongside the in house media and marketing teams of DoorDash, Deliveroo and Wolt, combining a global operating approach with market specific strategies.

The wider mandate builds on a relationship that began when DoorDash was still a pre IPO company. Over the years, WPP Media has supported the brand as it expanded beyond restaurant delivery into grocery, convenience and retail, while entering additional markets and reaching new consumer groups.

That evolution has also seen the partnership produce campaigns recognised across major industry platforms, including Cannes Lions, the Effies and Adweek.

Commenting on the expanded relationship, Tim Castree, Chief Marketing Officer, DoorDash, said the company’s global expansion had required changes in how it approached media, while stressing the importance of maintaining local relevance across individual markets.

For WPP Media, the global appointment will bring together its international scale, local market expertise, proprietary data and technology capabilities. Brian Lesser, CEO, WPP Media, said the agency would use DoorDash’s own data and intelligence through WPP Open and Open Intelligence to help the company move faster, improve consumer understanding and generate measurable growth.

Nancy Hall, U.S. CEO, WPP Media, also pointed to the agency’s existing work with DoorDash as a foundation for the expanded relationship, describing the appointment as an extension of the trust established over the past eight years.

The new global partnership is scheduled to take effect in early 2027, covering DoorDash, Deliveroo and Wolt across more than 40 markets worldwide.
