Twitter launches new feature for real-time engagement

Twitter, a leading social networking platform, has launched Spaces, a feature that allows users to join virtual rooms and engage in real-time, audio conversations with other users.

This feature will be available to Twitter users who have 600 or more followers. As hosts of Space, users will have the ability to moderate their rooms by inviting others, choosing who can speak can remove anyone.

Similarly, the networking platform has also announced its upcoming feature called “Ticket Spaces” that will allow users to create Spaces that require others to purchase a ticket in order to join. This will provide users the opportunity to monetize Spaces and encourage them to host more live-audio conversations on Twitter.

Ticket Spaces will be a revenue source for hosts and twitter will begin to roll out to a limited number of users in the coming months.

Twitter is working on growing its daily active user base to 315 million by the end of 2023.
