Tolu Ogunkoya’s final rite of passage out

The family of late Mr. Gbekeleoluwa Tolu Ogunkoya, has announced a series of events to honor his memory and celebrate his life.
Tolu Ogunkoya, who was born on December 12th, 1966, departed from this world on April 25th, 2023. Until his death, he was the managing director and chief executive officer of Media Reach OMD/ regional group managing director, OMD West and Central Africa.
He operated as the Regional Managing Director of Omnicom Media Group WeCa with offices in Lagos, Accra and Cameroon, and partner offices in three other locations across West & Central Africa, overseeing two large Media companies – mediaReach OMD and PHD Media, the biggest media agency Network in Nigeria, unarguably in West & Central Africa.
Tolu Ogunkoya was also the former President of Media Independents Practitioners Association of Nigeria (MIPAN). He was elevated to the highest grade of professionalism in advertising in Nigeria, inducted as a Fellow Registered Practitioner in Advertising (frpa) by then APCON (now ARCON) in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the advertising industry – as a player, education resource person, etc.
The first event, a Service of Songs, will take place at The Redeemed Christian Church of God, The Sanctuary, located at Tom Allen Centre, Stratford, London, E15 1BJ. This gathering is scheduled for Tuesday, 6th June 2023, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm, providing an opportunity for friends, colleagues, and loved ones to pay their respects and bid farewell to the departed soul.
The Funeral Service and Interment will be held at GreenAcres in Epping Forest, situated at Kiln Road, North Weald Bassett, Essex, CM16 6AD, United Kingdom, on Wednesday, 7th June 2023, commencing at 11 am. The Ogunkoya family invites all who wish to join them in this solemn occasion to honor the life and legacy of Mr. Tolu Ogunkoya.
A Night of Tributes will follow on Tuesday, 13th June 2023, at the Sheba Centre, located at 20 Mobolaj Bank Anthony Way, by FCMB. The event is scheduled to begin at 5:00 pm and will last for 2 hours and 30 minutes. During this evening, attendees will have the opportunity to share their memories, stories, and heartfelt tributes, expressing their love and appreciation for Mr. Ogunkoya.
A Commendation Service will be held on Thursday, 15th June 2023, at the Chapel of Christ the Light, IPM Road Alausa, from 10 am to 12 noon. This service will provide a final opportunity for family, friends, and well-wishers to pay their respects, offer prayers, and commend the soul of Mr. Tolu Ogunkoya to the care of the Almighty.
The Ogunkoya family, represented by Mrs. Sola Tolu Ogunkoya (Wife), Mr. Tomiwa Tolu Ogunkoya (Son), and Mr. Timisola Tolu Ogunkoya (Son), extends their gratitude to all who have reached out with their condolences and support during this difficult time. They are comforted by the presence of Mr. Ogunkoya’s parents, brothers, uncles, aunts, and many cousins, who stand with them in their grief and remembrance.
