Three Crowns Ignites outpouring of adulation for Nigerian mothers

Over the last couple of years, Nigerian mothers have enjoyed an abundance of brand attention from Three Crowns Milk, Nigerian premium dairy brand from the staple of FrieslandCampina WAMCO.

The brand has deliberately inspired narratives that celebrate the role of mothers as care givers and also created platforms that help them cultivate a healthy lifestyle by incorporating fitness regimes into its campaigns.

With its renewed brand positioning, Three Crowns became the first ever Milk brand in Nigeria to acknowledge and care for mothers, “because if mothers take care for themselves, they can take extra care of their families,” the brand posited.

But a few weeks ago, Three Crowns mom-centric experience took a new twist when it broke a new digital initiative. The number one low cholesterol milk brand encouraged consumers to share some of those popular quotes from their mothers using #mymomsquote#threecrowns as a way of refreshing some of those great moments with mothers.

The outcome was as hilarious as it was memorable as consumers struggled to outdo each other with mothers’ quotes that almost very Nigerian could relate with.

And to give effect and humour to the quotes, they were accompanied with funny pictures that gave graphic refection to the intent of the quotes.

The hashtag trended for weeks as consumers went down memory lane to unearth some of the ironies and innuendoes that was, and perhaps still common with Nigerian mothers. Some of the quote embodied the comical side of Nigerian mothers and how they apply subtle but stern means to communicate their messages.

One of the popular quotes came from Elsie Godwin, who demonstrated how her mom shies aways from direct compliments.
