Steve Babaeko gets recognition from Rotary Club

Steve Babaeko, CEO of X3M Ideas, seen in many quarters as Nigeria’s advertising prodigy, has again been recognized for his ingenuity and invaluable contributions to the Nigerian advertising industry.

He received a Presidential award yesterday from the Rotary Club of Ikeja South, headed by veteran journalist and author, Rotarian Azuh Arinze, who was recently installed President of the club.

The club noted that the award was in recognition of his contribution to “changing the face of advertising in Nigeria”.

Babaeko has, indeed, been instrumental to the recent renaissance in the advertising industry in Nigeria mainly due to his unconventional approach to the business. Within about five years of setting up X3M Ideas, the agency has risen to the top of the industry ladder and is reckoned with as one of the most creative advertising outfits in the country.

Babaeko is a recipient of many of such awards both locally and internationally; he has been appointed as a jury member for the New York Festival award and also played a similar role at the recently concluded Loeries Creative Week in Durban, South Africa. He is seen by many young and aspiring advertising professionals as a role model.
