To boost sales, reach new targets, network, meet new trade partners and increase their market share, the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) has gathered eligible brands at the ongoing 2022 Lagos International Trade Fair (LITF).

This year’s LITF is witnessing the presence of leading corporate Nigerian brands such as Grand Oak, Peak milk, Mobil (11PLC), Sona Group, UBA, Japan pavilion, Dufil, Amber energy drink, Eleganza, Dangote, Lush Hair, Johnvents Nigeria, Leadway Pensure, and Multichoice, amongst others.

While commenting on this year’s LITF, Asiwaju Dr. Michael Olawale-Cole, President, Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said: “For the past 36 years, the LCCI has organised the LITF, which has grown to become the largest trade exhibition event in West Africa in terms of traffic and volume of transactions recorded.

“The trade fair has consistently offered opportunities for the promotion of trade, commerce and investment through networking opportunities and mutual relations toward fostering Nigeria’s economic growth and development.”

In the same vein, Leye Kupoluyi, Chairman, the Trade Promotion Board of the Chamber, noted that a number of companies were invited from Nigeria, West African countries and other parts of the world, adding that the number of exhibitors on the ground is about 3, 500.

“Countries like India, Denmark, Japan, Cameroon, South Sudan, and Ivory Coast came with a number of companies. The attendance has improved this year compared to last year, going by the record from the Chamber’s access control.

“The attendance is more for obvious reasons. Last year, COVID-19 pandemic affected the event. We are experiencing more traffic this year,” he said.

Kupoluyi also noted that the fair was not in isolation of what is happening in the economy as the purchasing power of citizens has been affected as the forex and naira depreciation issues bite harder.
