Respected PR executive, Femi Adeniran Quits Airtel

Airtel Nigeria Public Relations Manager Femi Adeniran has quit his job at the leading telecommunications outfit. The news of his resignation started making the rounds a couple of weeks ago, but MARKETING EDGE can now confirm that the report is actually true.

According to reports, the former Senior Special Assistant on Media to the Governor of Osun State Rauf Aregbesola, quit his job at the telecommunication giant and immediately embarked on sabbatical break abroad, where he is undergoing an academic programme designed to launch him into the next phase of his illustrious career.

Mr. Adeniran who is an accounting graduate of Olabisi Onabanjo University and a Lagos Business School Alumni, joined Airtel in 2014, after a two years spell in Osun State, where he managed Governor Rauf Aregbesola’s public relations engagements.

He led the communications for the Osun State School Feeding Programme; lobbied Private Sector participation and fund raising from the public as well as international recognition from the United Nations.

But before he was called on to serve in his home state, he enjoyed a sterling career in the banking sector for more than 15 years. He was with Tank for 14 years and six months and rose to become Head, Corporate Communications. He was later snapped up by Wema Bank where he spent only eight months as Group Head, Brand and Marketing Communications.

It is not yet clear where the highly experienced brands and communication expert is headed next, and several calls to his mobile phone was unanswered, but unconfirmed report has it that Adeniran is about to make a big move, possibly in the political terrain.
