Puma reschedules launch of Davido collection

Manufacturer of athletic and casual footwear Puma Nigeria has announced plans to reschedule the launch of a shoe collection in partnership with Nigerian musician Davido due to undisclosed reasons.

In a post, Puma Nigeria shared that the company has made a difficult yet necessary decision to reschedule the launch of the PUMA × Davido collection to 2023.

The statement read: “All customers who have pre-ordered may receive their orders when we launch, convert your purchase to store credit, or request a full refund. Thank you for understanding and your continued support of PUMA Nigeria.”

Announced earlier in October, the collection tagged “We Rise By Lifting Others” is a collaboration between Puma and Davido’s charity organization. It was initially scheduled for release this November.

The collection includes Graphic T-shirts, Logo T-shirts, Reversible Bucket hats, and T7 AOP pants, amongst others.

Although Puma did not disclose its reasons, fans of the artist have alleged that this move comes on the heels of the recent demise of the singer’s first son, Ifeanyi Adeleke.
