Paralympians laud Peak Milk for unwavering support

For more than 6 years, Peak milk has been the only company that has been supporting the physically challenged, nonstop. All our flying out and flying in for competitions has been through the support of Peak Milk. The fully equipped gym, the provision of food and dairy products, we have not lacked any of those supplies for one day. If I say I should start counting all Peak Milk has done, we won’t finish today,”Folashade Oluwafemiayo, OON.

The above testimony, and more, melted hearts as Nigerian Paralympians and other physically challenged persons pushed through guests at the Peak Breakfast with the Unstoppables on Thursday, 6th October to “tell the world how Peak Milk has changed our lives.”

For years, Nigeria’s leading dairy brand Peak Milk has continually expressed its unwavering commitment to Nigeria’s Paralympians through its partnership with the Nigerian Para-Powerlifting Federation (NPPF).

Ikechukwu Obi Chukwu, a Paralympic athlete, shared: “I am grateful for what Peak Milk has been doing for the Nigerian Paralympic team. I have traveled to many countries since 2012, won different medals, been to  India, London, Tokyo, UK, and more, and I can say that experiencing Peak’s support always feels like the first time everytime, because they always come up with surprises for us. You know, when life throws you down, and you have someone holding your hand up, boosting your energy, boosting your body nutrients, the support is enormous. And it keeps me going. If you have seen our gym before, you will understand what I am talking about. Check out our gym now, see what is there, I can’t thank Peak Milk enough. Mouth no Dey do am(he said in pidgin).”

Peak Milk further inspired greatness in the Paralympians when it renovated the almost non-functional gymnasium at the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, equipping it with modern training and fitness equipment.

Ore Famurewa, executive director, FrieslandCampina  also thanked the Paralympians for their support and cooperation.

She said: It is not always the same when people say we want to partner with you and then you also have immense support from those who you are giving the support to. I remember in 2016 when we first walked here and you all told us your stories, I remember that from that moment, we decided and said we will continue to support this group until they really become world class and that everyone will aim to achieve all that they have achieved. And so far, they have done us proud, and we will continue to give our nonstop support, because greatness is what we believe in, and our mission is to ensure that everyone reaches their peak.”

FrieslandCampina’s Peak Milk is a proud sponsor of the Nigerian Para-Powerlifting Federation (NPPF).
