Oladele, 12 others retain seats in NIPR elections

Dr. Rotimi Oladele has been re-elected as the president of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations for the next two years. The election took place at the just concluded National Conference of the institute held at the Premier Hotel, Ibadan; the Oyo State capital, with the theme “Networking for National Economy, the synergy of Agriculture and Communication”.

Oladele was re-elected alongside 12 other council members including Alhaji Muktar Sirajo as Vice President. There were also three new members including the host state chairperson, Mrs. Yetunde Alagbe.

According to the communiqué issued at the end of the conference attended by participants from across the country, it was observed that there was a disconnect between research and development in the agricultural sector. It said key players in the sector should be carried along with government policies for the benefit of the peasant farmers to function well in the production of food for the country.

The keynote speaker at the conference, Mr. Caleb Akinnayajo, tasked public relations and communication professionals to play crucial role in linking all the diverse stakeholders.

Oladele is the MD/CEO of Megavons West Africa limited, Lagos – West Africa’s first class security printing company. Before that, he was with Nigerian Tribune newspaper. He has Masters Degrees in Business Administration from the Lagos State University (1996), Marketing from University of Nigeria, Nsukka (2000) and Corporate Governance from Leeds Metro University in the United Kingdom (2010). He also has a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Business Administration, Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies from Babcock University.
