OAAN, MIPAN set to hold annual Health Walk

The Outdoor Advertising Association of Nigeria (OAAN) in conjunction with Media Independent Practitioners Association of Nigeria (MIPAN) is set to hold its annual Health Walk, slated for 12 March, 2022. The Health Walk was to be held 16th October 2021, but was postponed to this year.
World Kidney Day is a global campaign to raise awareness of the importance of our kidneys to overall health and to reduce the frequency and impact of kidney disease and associated health problems worldwide.
Urging people not to give up on its Instagram handle, OAAN said: “You are allowed to scream, allowed to cry, but do not give up.”
Announcing the event on MIPAN social media handle, the association said it would be joining the revolutionary Health Walk.
According to MIPAN, the event starts by 7am with medical personnel to talk about the importance of the kidney and exercise.
The post read: “MIPAN joins the revolutionary health walk again Kidney failure on the 12th of March.”
The post continued: “The walk starts at 7:30am with a brief talk from trained medical personnel about Kidney Failure, there will be 3 points for refreshments along the journey, and we have made adequate provision for security and traffic personnel.
“For those coming with cars, please park at Police College by 7am and there will be buses to convey you to LTV grounds.”
Recall that MIPAN had earlier said it has plans to partner with the renowned Dr. Kadiri from 2022 in specific activities around mental health awareness and management to improve inclusiveness around mental health in Nigeria.
About World Kidney Day
March is National Kidney Month, and March 10 is World Kidney Day. The 2022 theme is “Kidney Health for All: Bridge the Knowledge Gap to Better Kidney Care.” The 2022 campaign will focus on efforts to increase education and awareness about kidney health and on reducing the high CKD knowledge gap at all levels of kidney care.
