NITDA, GAGE Company join forces to drive technological advancement in Africa through Co-Create

The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has entered into a partnership with the GAGE Company for the highly anticipated Co-Create Africa International Exhibition.

The annual tech expo, previously known as Co-Create Africa International Tech Expo, will now be renamed as “NITDA-Co-Create West Africa Tech Week.”

 

Co-Create Africa International Tech Expo, organized by the GAGE Company, is a two-day technology exhibition that expects to draw over 10,000 visitors and showcase 150 exhibitors. The event serves as a platform to highlight innovative startups and the latest technological solutions from both local and global players.

The GAGE Company is renowned for its groundbreaking initiative, the GAGE Awards, which recognizes digital influencers, innovators, and brands that utilize the internet to drive growth and create a positive impact in society.

NITDA, committed to implementing the National Digital Economy Policy for a digital Nigeria, aims to provide a comprehensive framework for planning, research, development, standardization, application, coordination, monitoring, evaluation, and regulation of information technology practices in Nigeria. Their strategic roadmap and action plan for 2021-2024 focuses on developmental regulation, digital literacy and skills, digital transformation, digital innovation and entrepreneurship, emerging technologies, cybersecurity, and promotion of indigenous content.

Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, the Director General of NITDA, emphasizes the importance of partnerships in driving job creation and economic growth, stating, “Together, we can unleash innovation, foster entrepreneurship, and ignite prosperity.” This collaboration signifies a significant milestone in positioning Nigeria as a leader in favorable startup policies and promoting innovation throughout Africa.

Johnson Anorh, CEO of the GAGE Company, highlights the remarkable opportunities that arise from the NITDA-Co-Create Africa partnership. He expresses, “This partnership signals a powerful commitment to nurturing local talent, unlocking opportunities for growth, and positioning Nigeria at the forefront of global technological excellence.”

The highly anticipated exhibition is scheduled to take place at the prestigious Eko Hotel Lagos in February 2024. As a leading organization in the tech industry, the GAGE Company remains dedicated to fostering innovation, collaboration, and shaping the future of technology.
