Morayo Afolabi Brown assumes role as Managing Director of TVC Entertainment

Morayo Afolabi Brown, renowned Nigerian TV Host, has been appointed as the Managing Director of TVC Entertainment, an esteemed channel within TVC Communications.

Expressing her enthusiasm on Instagram, she shared, “I am delighted to announce my recent appointment as the Managing Director of TVCe, the Entertainment Channel of TVC Communications. This marks a new chapter in my career, and I am profoundly grateful to the board for entrusting me with this pivotal role. Eagerly anticipating a fulfilling experience.”

Afolabi-Brown, previously the deputy director of Programmes at TVC News, is currently the host of TVC’s breakfast show, “Your View.” Serving as the convener and anchor of this prominent breakfast chat show, she has overseen more than 2000 episodes.

Her exceptional contributions were recently honored at the MARKETING EDGE Awards of Excellence, where she received the Outstanding TV Hostess of the Decade award. Additionally, “Your View” clinched the title of TV Programme of the Decade.

Educated in the USA, where she resided for a decade, Afolabi-Brown earned her degree in Political Science from Rutgers, the state university of New Jersey, New Brunswick.

Commencing her media career in 2005, Morayo returned to Nigeria in 2004, after her university education in the USA, to pursue her passion for media. She held positions at CMC Connect, CUE Media, and HiTV before her role as deputy director of Programmes at TVC.

A seasoned media content creator and program developer with almost two decades of experience, Morayo has demonstrated her leadership skills by successfully managing multiple teams in the media industry. Beyond her media career, she expanded into Integrated Marketing Communications within the Education sector, leading the communications team at Bridge Academy.

Her extensive expertise includes managing various high-profile communications initiatives for both local and international brands, covering corporate restructuring, product development, market rollouts, grassroots engagement efforts, media relations, and perception management.

In 2020, Morayo Afolabi-Brown was recognized as one of the top 25 most influential women in Journalism Africa (WIJA), adding another accolade to her illustrious career.
