Meet Mrs. Olayinka Pamela Adedayo, Tastee Fried Chicken Founder

Mrs. Olayinka Pamela Adedayo (flsp, fcba, fibm) was born on 27th July, 1950 and holds a degree in Business Administration and Finance from Chicago State University in the USA. On her return to Nigeria, Olayinka, a firm believer in the saying that being useful to oneself translates to being useful to one’s society, joined the Federal Civil Service where she served as an Administrative Officer with the Federal Ministry of Finance from 1981-1990.

She had always been focused and a go-getter who achieved whatever she set her mind to. She began to exhibit her God given talent in culinary skills from childhood and her experience as an employee at Kentucky Fried Chicken, Chicago, where she became the Store Manager between 1978-1980, further convinced her that she would eventually etch her name in the annals of the eatery industry.

True to expectations, she established Tastee Pot Limited in 1991, a modern outdoor catering company. She was inspired by the success and acceptance of the company and established De Tastee Fried Chicken [TFC]; one of the pioneering Quick Service Restaurants in Nigeria. Both companies have remained in the A list of the industry in Nigeria since then.

Olayinka was the pioneer National President of the Restaurant and Food Services Proprietors Association of Nigeria- (REFSPAN), formerly known as the Association of Fast Foods Confectioners of Nigeria (AFFCON).

A cheerful giver, she is currently a member of the Board of Trustees at the Bunmi Adedayo Foundation [BAF]. A foundation set up in memory of her late son, Oluwabunmi Adedayo, to keep alive his values and interest in assisting indigent children to get quality education and actualizing their dreams.

Mrs. Olayinka Pamela Odushola Adedayo has been decorated with several awards for her personal achievements, contribution to the QSR industry, her benevolence to the less privileged and her love for God. These include but are not limited to,

City People Brands Awards; CFI.CO Community Engagement Awards; Lagos Enterprise Awards; Lagos State Ministry of Education Awards and other humanitarian awards.
