Mr. Ozoemena Mbanefo the founder of Nigeria’s leading adschool of brands and marketing communications, Oxygen Academy otherwise referred to as 02 Academy.
Interestingly, he started the Academy in his two bedroom apartment in 2007, and within the first four years, he offered free brand communication training to over two hundred Nigerian youths! Ever since then, he has never looked back in being a ray of hope, creating a platform for young-to-be professionals.
Armed with an HND in Mass Communications from the Institute of Management and Technology, Enugu, Ozone, as he is fondly called, has mastered the craft of Art Direction and brand communication.
With over 19 years of experience in the advertising industry, he has harnessed his core values to aim at achieving corporate goals. His experience spans over a decade with leading advertising powerhouses like LTC/JWT, Insight Communications (now Insight Publicis), DDB Lagos, TBWA/Concept, Bates Cosse and 141Worldwide (now NITRO 121).
This cerebral professional has worked on local and multinational brands like: Fanta, Limca, Goldspot, Eva table water, Calypso coconut liqure, Shell, UBA, WEMA BANK, Knorr cubes, Close up, Lux Lipton, NB Plc corporate, Ecobank, Legend Extra Stout, Diamond Bank, LG Electronics, Sony Electronics, Conoil, Fidelity Bank, Glo, MTN, Etisalat (now 9Mobile), FSDH, Indomie, DStv, MultiChoice, British American Tobacco, Cadbury corporate, TomTom, Cadbury Bournvita, to mention a few.
Ozone is a motivator, a teacher and a mentor to hundreds of Nigerian youths. He believes in creating ample opportunity to every willing heart not out of charity but because it is the common good that holds us together.
He is always both bold and proud to disclose that six in every ten millennials in Nigeria’s advertising industry are alumni of Oxygen Academy.
It is his dream that the lives of six million youths are changed in the country through the oxygen platform.
Notably, Ozone is the brain behind the installation of the first 3D zebra crossing in Nigeria, an idea that is now duplicated in other parts of the country to help make the Nigerian roads safer for pedestrians.
