Life Beer empowers entrepreneurs with N7.5m lifeline

Life Continental Lager Beer has recently rewarded entrepreneurs in Abia State with N7.5 million during the Progress Booster show at the City Global Hotel, Aba.

Life Progress Booster is an entrepreneurial talent hunt and mentoring radio programme initiated by Life Continental Lager Beer, from the stable of Nigerian Breweries with the aim of helping talented innovative businessmen and women in the South-East.

It will be recalled that the brand had presented about N15 million to 30 entrepreneurs in Enugu and 30 entrepreneurs in Owerri in June and August 2016 respectively.

During the show in Aba, 20 entrepreneurs who were pre-selected during the monthly radio program emerged as winners while the other ten were picked from among those who were given the privilege to present their business ideas to the judges in a live interview at the venue of the event.

Portfolio Manager, Mainstream Lager and Stout brands, Nigeria Brewries Plc, Mr. Emmanuel Agu, stressed that the goal of the firm for 2016 was to empower about 200 entrepreneurs across the South Eastern states.

Agu noted that Progress Booster is a programme that the company initiated to support entrepreneurs in the region who have innovative business ideas, affirming that the essence of the programmes was to encourage the entrepreneurial spirit of the people of the South-East.

According to him, “last year, we empowered 50 entrepreneurs. Our goal for 2016 is to empower 200 entrepreneurs and so far, we’ve funded 96 businesses through the Progress Booster platform.”
