Lagos NIPR to hold 27th AGM in May
Lagos State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) is set to hold the 27th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on May 31, 2017.
All financial members of the institute are expected to attend the event which will take place at the MUSON Centre, Onikan, Lagos. According to the notice signed by the secretary of the institute, Thelma C. Okoh, members are expected to have paid all their levies before the event day.
“Members are implored to pay their AGM Levy of N10, 000 each before the commencement of the Meeting at the Chapter Secretariat” it reads
Similarly, NIPR is set to host its 18th AGM/Conference by April 26-28, 2017 at the Kwara Hotels, Ahmadu Bello Way, GRA, Ilorin, Kwara State with the theme “Building Mutually Beneficial Relationships and Communicating Values to Eliminate Recession and Drive Sustainability”.
Established in 1963, NIPR, the professional body of qualified Public Relations Practitioners, attained charter status in 1990 with Decree 16 (now Act of the Federal Republic of Nigeria).
The Law mandates NIPR to regulate the practice and direct the development of Public Relations as a profession in Nigeria. The law also makes it illegal to practice Public Relations, under any title, in Nigeria without NIPR certification.
