Lagos NIPR rewards professionalism, excellence at LaPRIGA 2021

Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Lagos State chapter, has recognised and rewarded professionalism and excellence at the just concluded 2021 Lagos State PR Industry Gala and Award (LaPRIGA). The premier Chapter of the Institute celebrated and rewarded practitioners in public and private organizations, including industry stakeholders to boost investment in the practice of public relations.

The event, which took place at   D’Podium International Event Center, Ikeja, Lagos on Saturday, 18th December, 2021  with the theme, “GLITTERATI: Will Celebrate the Best of the Industry and Key Stakeholders”, had the who’s who in Nigeria’s public relations landscape in attendance.

Commenting on the event, Mallam Mukhtar Sirajo, President and Chairman of Council, NIPR, said: “For the chapter to have sustained this event means that it is on ground. There is no better way to appreciate ourselves than what the Lagos State Chapter is doing. Programmes like this give people room to propel themselves.”

Yomi Badejo Okusanya, President, Africa Public Relations Association, on his part, congratulated the Lagos Chapter for sustaining the award for the past six years, while mentioning that measurement and recognition are important in the practice.

Mrs. Comfort Nwankwo, Chairman, NIPR Lagos State Chapter, during her welcome speech appreciated the governor of Lagos State, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for his support to the Chapter and his commitment state as a centre of excellence.

She also appreciated the leadership of Mallam Sirajo, the executive council and members of NIPR Lagos State Chapter.

“The LaPRIGA Awards has evolved to become the PR industry Oscars by adding new colours, dimensions and values and recognizing best accomplishments in reputation management, relationship management and support for marketing functions,” she said.
