Lagos holds Ehingbeti to upscale for sustainable economic growth

Plans are underway by the Lagos state government to hold yet another edition of its yearly economic summit tagged: “Ehingbeti”.
The yearly initiative, a public private partnership endeavour is primarily aimed at creating a platform for economic growth and sustainability for the state.
Elaborating on the summit, Samuel Egube, Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget, disclosed that the summit is scheduled to kick off from 16 – 17 August, and all arrangements have been made to ensure its success. This year’s edition is themed: ‘Lagos 2022- 2052: Charting the Paths to Sustainable Socioeconomic Growth,’’ “The future is a hope we all have.”
Egube said the collaboration with stakeholders overtime, as major players has helped to redefine and create a more robust and excellent outing in the summit while adding that the Centre of Excellence has continued to grapple with the challenge in the routine with the influx of people from across the states, saying this requires lots of planning, not just for the moment, but for the future.
He assured that Lagos will continue to do well, adding that “Lagos cannot fail because there is so much around the way Lagos is governed.”
Egube, who addressed the media in company of other senior government officials, including the Commissioner of Finance, Dr. Rabiu Olowo, said the state is central to the survival of the country and being the economic nerve centre of Nigeria, will continue to attract people from other states of the federation.
