Billionaire businessman and owner of Microsoft, Bill Gates believes the advent of Artificial Intelligence could make it possible for humans to reduce workweek to three days.

Speaking with South African Comedian, writer and actor, Trevoh Noah on a Podcast recently, the tech guru noted that it will be okay to have a society where people will only need to work three days a week since there are machines that can make all the food and other stuff.

Gates has been noticeably consistent in his advocacy for humans to embrace the advancement of technology as a way of life, predicting that a day is coming when people will not have to work so hard to make ends meet.

In March this year, the former world richest man wrote that the advent of Artificial Intelligence could have as big an impact on society as mobile phones and the Internet.

 Writing on a blog post, Gates who compared the rapid advancement of AI to the advent of mobile phone and Internet, revealed that this new technology will change the way people work, learn, travel, get health care, and communicate with each other.

“Entire industries will reorient around it. Businesses will distinguish themselves by how well they use it,” he wrote.

Gates” prediction is coming barely a month after James Dimon, the Chief Executive Officer, JP Morgan Chase predicted that AI would soon allow people to work as little as three-and-a-half days a week.

The American billionaire Business Executive said that the fear of AI is unfounded. “Your children will live to 100 and not have cancer because of technology and they will probably be working three and a half days a week,” Dimon disclosed this to Bloomberg in October.
