FG appoints Captain Yadudu as new MD of FAAN

President Muhammadu Buhari, has approved the appointment of Captain Rabiu Hamisu Yadudu as the new Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Deputy Director, Press and Public Affairs of the Ministry of Transportation, James Odaudu, in Abuja on Monday.

The appointment of Captain Yadudu as the new Managing Director of FAAN takes immediate effect and he is expected to take over from the erstwhile Managing Director, Saleh Dunoma, a certified engineer.

Until the recent appointment, the pilot with considerable industry experience was Director of Operations, FAAN.

Reports said, “President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Captain Rabiu Hadudu as the new Managing Director of FAAN. Yadudu an ICAO/ACI accredited Airport Professional holds professional certifications in Avionics, Airport Safety Management Systems, Airport Security Management, and others.”

Meanwhile, sources within the authority said the appointment has been received with mixed reactions from workers.

Yadudu’s entry according to industry watchers is another attempt by the outgoing Minister of State, Aviation, Hadi Sirika to entrench some interest in the aviation sector.
