The chief executive officer (CEO) of myKustoma Innovative Technology, Mr. Sylvester Chigbu has projected that e-commerce industry in Nigeria will be worth N2.5 trillion, about $13 billion, by 2018.

Chigbu who made the disclosure at the launch of the company’s new platform for traditional, electronic commerce and market research in Nigeria said the entrance of myKustoma brand into the Nigerian market will provide an enabling environment to all merchants and service providers.

He noted that competition in the emerging e-commerce market is good for the industry as individual firm’s efforts are complementary to its growth.

According to him, myKustoma is an open marketplace for everyone to buy, sell and grow their business. The uniqueness of myKustoma is its wholesomeness and elimination of buyer-seller anonymity. People that enjoy other e-commerce platforms would embrace myKustoma too when they discover the platform’s inherent freedom and flexibility.

Also speaking, Digital Marketing Manager, myKustoma, Mr. Ahmed Bello-Osagie, said many will embrace myKustoma because of its wholesomeness that is akin to most Nigerians’ economic hustles that see people engage in more than one economic activity to earn the desired living.
