Dikko, Oguejiofor assumes higher responsibility at Etisalat

Leading telecoms brand Etisalat Nigeria, has announced the promotion of Ibrahim Dikko and Ken Oguejiofor as Vice President (Regulatory and Corporate Affairs) and Vice President (Consumer Sales and Service) respectively. Prior to this appointment, Dikko was Director, Government and Regulatory Affairs of the company where he was in charge of regulation, community and environmental issues. Oguejiofor was previously the director, Channel Sales where he was responsible for identifying channel partners across corporate, distribution and alternate channels for sales of Etisalat’s products and services. In a statement released by the telecoms organisation recently, the new appointments are aimed at furthering supporting the organisation and delivery of innovative products, services and to meet the demands of its teeming customers. The Chief Executive Officer of Etisalat Nigeria, Matthew Willsher, while elaborating on the significance of the restructuring of the management team said “These appointments are necessary to reflect the level and scope of responsibility of the two executives and also to sharpen the organisation’s focus on the customer, drive operational efficiency, and improve results through better alignment of functions with similar priorities. “At Etisalat, we are committed to empowering individuals and our communities to empower the nation; therefore we look forward to the benefits of the transforming leadership that will follow these new appointments.” Mr Willsher further added. Mr Dikko, in his new role is expected to lead the corporate and regulatory affairs teams of the telecoms service provider in an integrated approach to achieve the company’s strategic plan of forging and maintaining valuable partnerships among all its stakeholders. Similarly, as VP, Consumer Sales and Service, Mr Ogueijofor, is expected in his new role to ensure a concerted effort in synergising the relationship between direct and indirect sales as well as ensuring quality services across all Etisalat’s sales and service centres.
