Dentsu appoints André Andrade as CEO for EMEA region

Dentsu, a global leader in marketing and advertising, has officially named André Andrade as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for dentsu Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA).

In this new role, Andrade will take charge of the integrated growth strategy and business operations of dentsu across the EMEA region as he becomes part of the network of Regional CEOs reporting to Giulio Malegori who was recently appointed as the Group Chief Operating Officer at Dentsu Group Inc.

In the following weeks, Dentsu will also unveil André Andrade’s successor, demonstrating its never-ending commitment to a seamless leadership transition.

With a remarkable career spanning almost two decades at dentsu, Andrade has consistently demonstrated his ability to drive growth and cultivate strong client relationships across various EMEA markets. His journey within the company began in 2004 when he assumed the role of CEO at dentsu Portugal. Over the years, he expanded his responsibilities to become the CEO of dentsu Spain & Portugal, ultimately taking on the role of CEO for Iberia & Sub-Saharan Africa (IBSSA) in 2013.

In his most recent position, Andrade made significant strides by increasing revenue and performance in the IBSSA cluster. He led a successful acquisition strategy, integrating ten different operations across media, creative, content, and data. This move bolstered dentsu’s capabilities and brought new talent to their teams, resulting in a comprehensive one dentsu market offering.

Andrade’s leadership also extends to overseeing Dentsu’s Client & Solutions Hub for EMEA, where he plays a crucial role in shaping client-focused strategies that drive integrated growth solutions across the region.

Hiroshi Igarashi, President and CEO of Dentsu Group Inc., expressed his enthusiasm about working closely with André, emphasizing their commitment to client-centric services and integrated experiences that drive growth and competitiveness.
