Dana Air partners Fashion Reality TV on youth empowerment

Dana Air is partnering Fashion Reality TV Show to empower youths by providing them with a platform on the Kinabuti Fashion Initiative on the Dare2dream season 3.

Accountable Manager of Dana Air, Mr. Obi Mbanuzuo, who spoke on the partnership, said that the airline was also using the opportunity to promote its brand in reaching out to the young people, especially girls in the country.

Mbanuzuo explained that Dana Air was pleased to support the Dare2dream season 3, 2016, adding that it was part of its responsibility as a corporate citizen in inspiring the Nigerian youths to pursue their dreams until it came into reality.

“We are pleased to support Dare2dream again this year. As a responsible corporate citizen, it’s always fulfilling for us to inspire Nigerian youths, to believe in their dreams and never relent in achieving them. We actually believe in the popular saying, that if you train a child, particularly a girl child; and give her the right value, you will be training a generation.” he said.

Mbanuzuo further stressed that Dana Airline was named the airline with the best Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy in the nation’s aviation sector at the CSR Nigeria Awards because of its stride in impacting on the lives of Nigerians in various ways.

Meanwhile, Kinabuti Co-founder, Caterina Bortolussi, while speaking during the official kick-off of season 3, said six girls would be selected from three universities in the country and would be flown to Lagos by Dana Air where they would be trained on various fashions and creative activities.

Bortolussi said:“Six girls will be selected from three universities and they will fly to Lagos by Dana Air, the smartest way to fly, for the boot camp. For a period of 10 days, the girls will be challenged, trained, mentored on various aspects of fashion, modeling and other creative activities. In the course of this, some of them would be eliminated based on their skills and overall performances. The experience promises to be fun-filled, challenging, empowering and rewarding.’’

He added that the auditions would be done across University of Port Harcourt, University of Calabar and University of Lagos, “casting aspiring female models with extra talents, but also selecting aspiring designers and performers to showcase their abilities at the grand finale, scheduled for Sunday, September 11, 2016 at the Federal Palace Hotel & Casino, Victoria Island.”

Created in 2014, Dare2Dream is one of most anticipated fashion reality show, offering a platform for young Nigerian girls to develop confidence, talents, values and principles while opening doors for them to build a career in fashion.
